Ponte Vedra-based FGC Inc. has been awarded a contract to renovate a Juno Beach health care facility that is associated with former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Renovations to the 147-bed Beach House Center for Recovery are expected to total $2 million.
The project includes an interior build-out and renovations to the first and second floors of four buildings. It will also include building a basketball court and parking. Work is expected to begin in early March and will take about four months to complete.
Glenn Cohen, based in Palm Beach Gardens, is the developer on the project, while Jupiter-based Jeff H. Iranvani Inc. is the project engineer, according to project documents.
Beach House Center for Recovery was acquired last year by New York-based private equity firm BelHealth Investment Partners, according to the South Florida Business Journal. In July, Christie, who has previously been a board member of the Daytop Village treatment facility in Mendham, New Jersey, was named executive chairman of the Beach House Center.
